Alright so I just finished build my new PC and after a few hours of re-downloading stuff I noticed that the PC only detected 8 of the 16GB of RAM. After doing a bit of "Googleing" I found out that all you have to do is reset the CMOS or something(after re-inserting the RAM). Now what is the CMOS and how do I reset it? I have a ASUS Hero VII.

a few things on top of my head. check which slot is working (which ones are being detected), then remove those rams, place the other 2 there. see if they are being detected, if they are then get the ones you removed (the ones being detected before) and place them in the other 2 slots, see what happens.

it might be a bad slot or the rams itself

You reset the CMOS by pulling the battery located on the board.

If you read the manual you'll see info about which jumper to move for that.Take the pc of the power when you do it.

Try resetting the CMOS and let us know, might take some voltage or timing adjustments, did all 16GB come in a single package?
