I was wondering if I could please get some advise on if I can accomplish the same goal as getting the Z87 Deluxe/Dual if I do not care about Thunderbolt, by getting the Z87 Deluxe and buying the NFC Express package separately. This works out cheaper than the Deluxe/Dual and I get NFC which is what I would like to have.

Am I missing anything else in the Z87 Deluxe + NFC setup vs the Z87 Deluxe/Dual given the fact that I do not need Thunderbolt support?

Thanks.

NFC = Bluetooth. It's not something I'd want to use anyway.

But if you want it and its cheaper to buy it separate then go for it.

You'll be just fine Speed, don't worry about it. :)

I like the features that NFC boasts ... seems like a natural pairing with Windows 8 and its collaborative features. Why not get it because it is bluetooth?

It seems to work out cheaper to buy the Z87 Deluxe and the NFC Express than buying the Z87 Deluxe/Dual which comes with it... am I missing something or does Thunderbolt support really add that much more to the price?

Just fine with Z87 Deluxe + NFC kit or am I missing anything else except Thunderbolt support by not going to Z87 Deluxe/Dual?
