Processor:Intel i5 4670
MotherBoard: Asus H81m-plus

Graphics card:Gainward gtx 550ti
PSU: OCZ StealthXStream2 80+ 500w using for 3years now

the psu is corsair cx model am just not sure how good this psu is, i mean it uses how much it needs for everything right? and where does other not used watts go. And also recommend me a bit better card than 660 if you can i will look at prices and decide which thanks.

Solution
The GTX 660 should be OK with your current supply.
If you want to go to a higher performance graphics card, you will need to upgrade the power supply.
The Corsair CX series is OK but not great.
Consider the XFX TS 550 and an R9 270X or GTX 760 as a step up from the GTX 660.
Another step up would be the XFX TS 650 and an R9 280X or GTX 770.

What about XFX ATX 550 psu compared to cx600 is it any better and whats not so great about cx model like you said?
and are you sure my current psu can handle 660.

XFX makes many power supplies. "ATX" isn't a model, but all XFX supplies are pretty good quality. Maybe you can share a link to the supply you are looking at. This supply should be OK up to an R9 270X or GTX 760.
I believe your current supply will be OK for a GTX 660. Even though your supply is not great quality, a GTX 660 will be well below its rated power.
If you want to know all the details about the CX series power supplies, read a detailed review. They use cheap capacitors and are considered to have a shorter life than better supplies.

Use this list as a reference if you don't want to read reviews:
http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html

Tier 3 is OK but not great. Higher is good (tier 1, tier 2 class a or tier 2 class b). Do not buy tier 4 or lower.

That is an XFX TS 550. This is a much better unit than the Corsair CX 600.
You can of course buy a GTX 660 if you can still find one for sale (these have been discontinued more than a year ago).
At each of the performance levels I suggested an Nvidia card and an AMD card. The Nvidia cards tend to be a little more expensive but they come with features like Shadowplay and Physx as well as generally running cooler and quieter due to lower power usage.
The GTX 760 replaced the GTX 660. It has better performance, closer to the old GTX 670.
