Hello All, Not sure If I am posting in the correct Category, But anyway, onto the topic.

I have Ravaged together a computer of second hand parts cheaply and I have found that all is good except my GPU ( Bottlenecks at the GPU ).

My setup ( Important Details ):
PSU: 650W
Motherboard: GA-EP43-DS3R

A Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 has Caught my Eye and im wondering if it could be compatible with this motherboard ( PCI-e ). If I bought the GTX 750 and slotted it straight into the PCI-e x16 Slot, will it work as it should, or am I forgetting something?

Im curious about the difference between PCI-e 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, etc and the differences between the suffixes x4, x8, x16, etc. What Should I consider here when getting a new GPU?

Many Thanks,
Super_Stinger

Yep the 750 will work in a pciex16 slot

pcie 3.0 is faster than 2.0 is faster than one. pcie x16 is faster than x 8 is faster than x4

Most GPUs are pcie 3.0 compatible. Most motherbopards onlt have pcie2.0 and for 2 graphics cards on them x8. They work fine.
