My system now is ,Windows 7 64 bit, Sandy Bridge i5 processor, Intel H67 chip,10 GB of RAM,Samsung 840 256 SSD,Western Digital Black 2 TB hard drive for storage, 550 watt psu. I'm using the OEM Nvidia GT 520 graphs card now. I have a Power Color 7770 HD card and a Nvidia Geforce 645 but the system refuses to allow either to install. Both work in my son's Dell XPS 8500. Money isn't a huge concern, however, i want a graphics card which is known to function in my system. I don't want to own a pile of GPUs that don't work for me.

Both of those cards should work in your system. I see nothing in the specifications or your updated components which would preclude the use of either of those cards. What error are you encountering when either of those cards is installed and which power supply did you get (manufacturer and model #)?

The error is no video and a single beep which repeats after 30 seconds. The power supply is an Antec 450 watt.
