Make sure that you enable AHCI mode(should be done before installing windows), as well as any fast boot specific settings in the BIOS

Dont try enable AHCI, its difficult to do after installing windows.

What other parts do you have?

If you have samsung 840 evo then go to samsung website and download samsung magician app. From it you can optimize your pc settings to work for 840 evo and also it will tell you if AHCI is enabled or not.

That is a bit slow.
Make sure fast boot is enabled, it may help a bit.

Magician doesn't do a huge amount, Windows built in TRIM system will take care of most optimization.

I will recommend downloading the app from samsung website not from CD as CD version can be outdated.

Yeah I also know it won't do huge amount but as he said he don't know if he has enabled AHCI or not and he don't know how to do it. That's why I referred him the app.

Don't jump to conclusions and try reinstalling windows. First try to find where the problem is.

Yes it has UEFI, but in order to fully take advantage of it you will probably have to reinstall windows.
