That's not good. Unfortunately, this is most likely an issue with SLI. I also run SLI and I run into the same problem with specific games from time to time.

First let's get some basic troubleshooting out of the way. Run 3DMark Fire Strike (free with the 3DMark demo) with and without SLI (just disable it in the control panel, no need to remove the card) and report back on what score you get.

You did install the SLI bridge, right? Can you take a screenie of the "Configure SLI, Surround, Physx" section of your control panel?

I unselected the "best solution" for you. I was wondering what your score was with SLI enabled (turned on). This will tell us whether it is working properly or not.

Which motherboard do you have and which slots are the cards installed into? Full computer specs would be great.

my second gpu is no longer being detected by the mobo, the r4 case i have seems to be 1cm too small to lock the screw of the gpu in properly on the back of the case, so i had to improvise, it seems proprely seated in the port though. btw with my gtx 780 at +105 core and +150 mem my fps in bf are around 60 on high/med settings, this must be seriously underwhelming right?

Yeah, that's very underwhelming considering my 770 has no problems running BF4 at 70-90FPS on ultra.

Just to clarify, by upper two, you mean the two slots closest to the CPU, correct? (PCI_E2 and PCI_E5) And you have the SLI bridge installed, correct? Try borrowing someone else's SLI bridge and swapping out for yours.

Don't use any overclocks in afterburner for now. Chances are, you're not helping anything.

Now I'm starting to wonder if this is an installation problem. Reseat both cards. Before you push them into the mobo, you must open those little tabs, then when you push them down into the mobo, the tabs should "click" firmly into place. Then if you wanted to release them, it would requiring you to push out the tab at the bottom to release them. Can you take a picture of the inside of your computer and post it?

One problem I can see with your setup is that your power supply is not quite what I would consider adequate if you're overclocking. Disable CPU overclocking and see if it improves anything, because overclocking uses quite a lot of power.

Also, try just using each card individually. Then you can see if either individual GPU is bad. Right now I'm thinking this is some kind of physical problem...installation, defective mobo, other defective hardware, or otherwise.

How do your CPU benchmarks look? You have all of the current drivers and everything installed including the chipset (INF) drivers and SATA controller drivers, right?

thanks for the fast reply, i removed the screw holding the bottom cared (yes im talking about slots starting form cpu idk how to upload foto on here though) and now the card is working again, ill have to drill a new hole so the screw doesnt force it out of the socket i dont think a physical problem is whats causing this ill run the stress test now

Sorry by "physical problem", I mean, there's a problem with your setup (like something being tilted the wrong way or making contact incorrectly) that could be causing it. Glad you figured out that that screw was preventing it from working.

Everything looks OK to me (you have DDR-1333 RAM and a hyperthreading-enabled four-core processor, hence the 667 and 8 cores...google "double data rate RAM" and "hyperthreading" if you don't believe me), but your combined score for fire strike is not good at all. That's significantly less performance than I'd expect from a single GTX 780.

Honestly, you don't really have enough of a working knowledge for us to help you troubleshoot this problem, and it's obvious to me that you're unwilling or unable to google and find the answers to my questions. I don't have the time to sit here and spoonfeed you. My advice to you is to take your computer to a best buy, micro center, or other computer store and pay for a technician to diagnose the problem.

im so sorry to bother you with my problem but trust me ive spent over 15 hours using google to troubleshoot and ive had all kinds of problems that i fixed myself i simply dont know how to upload a photo to show you why i cant install the second 780 properly, the r4 simply seems to be too big. would it be of any use to you if i ran the test with a single 780? There isnt any pc fixing company remotely close to where i live. Im really grateful for all help so far.
