Help! Got a new Graphics Card and now my PC Keeps Freezing

I decided to get a new graphics card for my system so i got the Sapphire R9 290. I fresh installed windows 7 64bt and now my PC will freeze while playing games or even being Idle. Can anyone help me with this problem?

AMD Phenom II x4 965
8GB DDR3 Ram
Coolmaster 700w PSU
gigabyte 880GM-UD2H Motherboard

In MSI afterburner, you could try to disable ULPS (Settings > General > ULPS (Near bottom).

What will that help to reduce thanks?

It disables energy saving settings. Sometimes a GPU can clock itself down when it's idle and can't recover.

ULPS has helped a bit making it slightly longer before the freeze happens however this is still a problem for me.
