Hi

I presume nothing appeared on screen to indicate start up

something which occasionally works is remove the mains charger lead and battery

then hold down power button for 30 seconds then re connect battery and try to start up again

If that does not work you need to look up the technical manuals to find out if cmos battery can be removed or cmos can be reset
(this is much harder than with desktops)

If you have two ram modules (with both mains & battery removed) remove one of modules. try again then swap with other module.

Next stage requires some one with laptop repair experience to diagnose fault.
May need repair or replacement of motherboard which gets expensive

you dont think it has to do anything with the fan not running? or failing?
