Okay so here's the deal. I have a 212 EVO. It's better than stock by far, but I need something more powerful for my i7 upgrade. I already bought an H110 and an NHD-15 in attempts to get the best (of course I will RMA one of them.). The point is, I care somewhat about noise (but it doesn't need to be silent. I just don't want it sounding like a car. I have a huge box fan I run almost 24/7 to keep me cool so I can barely hear whatevers going on in my computer anyway.
However, I also care about performance, so obviously whichever is going to be better. I know water cooling puts less stress on the mobo than the NHD-15, but if the NHD-15 is substantially better than the H110, then I can probably get over it (or find something to hold it up better).

This thread is not only about these two (or technically three) coolers. So please, if you know something better, do let me know. I know how good the NHD-15 is but I cannot stand those ugly fans... and the h110 I ordered doesn't seem to have an 1150 socket bracket (but the 1155 fits somehow) so other than aesthetics, it all comes down to what is the best cooler for 200 or less. Water and air cooling please.

Solution
Better to use the H110 now.
I prefer not having a giant ugly heatstink in the middle of my case.
I think you will be able to RMA it(not sure, never done it),but why do that when you can use a better cooler? :)
Both the NH-D15 and the Corsair H110 are excellent coolers, you don't have to go any better than that.I think that the H110 has slightly better cooling performance than the NH-D15,so go with the H110 then. :)
LGA1155 and LGA1150 have the holes in the same position, meaning that a 1155 cooler will fit on a 1150 motherboard and vice versa.

Ah I see. Didn't know they had the same holes. Anyways, here is a question about newegg. If I were to open the box of an item, use it (to test) which may include the application of my own thermal paste, would I still be able to RMA it? I would like to test them but if not I'll probably go with the H110 just because it puts less stress on a 200 dollar motherboard xD

I don't mind the heatsink itself. It's just those god (sorry for any non-religious or very religious types) awful noctua fans (color scheme wise, not performance :p)
