Hi Folks.

When i look at my SSD on "My Computer" is says 5.26GB free of 111GB so essentially i should have at least over 100GB of data on it but when i open it up and highlight it all and go to properties it says there is only 64.7 GB of data.

Hope someone can help.
thanks.

There could perhaps be a hidden folder on the root of your drive taking up a significant amount of space.

Check out a program called WinDirStat (http://windirstat.info/) It's a free, open source application that may be able to give you a bit more insight in to what may be using up all your space.

Yes...pagefile and hiberfil.sys.

hiberfil will take up RAM = 1.5x installed RAM. So I'm guessing you have 8GB installed?
You can turn that off completely and free up 12GB.

Pagefile? You can reduce that quite a bit and suffer no consequences. I have mine set at 1GB. Others have it turned off completely.

Alternatively you can move your page file to another HDD (that's what I've done).
Start -> Right Click Computer -> Properties -> Advanced System Settings -> Advanced -> "Performance Tab" Settings -> Advanced -> Virtual Memory "Change".
You can then click on another HDD, add a System Managed Page file on it, and then set "No Paging File" on your SSD. One you've OK'd a few times you'll reboot and get your 15GB back without sacrificing a page file.
