Hey guys I was wondering if you could put together a 1500$ PC build for me. I want the best I can get for that price. I want to be able to play the latest games on medium to high settings.
Thanks in advance,
Gylfie

Solution

The motherboard is a bit overkill, but is nice nevertheless. The ASRock board I posted above is still an effective board. The i7-4790k should prepare you for future next-generation games which will be better optimized for more than four cores. It should soundly last you at least 5 years before a CPU upgrade is needed.

LGA 2011-v3 is another updated generation of the socket, used for Haswell-E CPUs,which were released in August 2014. Updated socket generations are physically similar to LGA 2011, but the used electrical signals and ILM keying prevent them from being backward compatible with older CPUs. These motherboards use DDR4 memory.

A Haswell-E build is way over his budget. An i7-4790k build is a lot cheaper and enough for hardcore gaming.
