It came stock with an M3970AM-HP (Angelica) mobo and now the video card has failed. I went to upgrade the card and am finding out that due to HP restrictions my only real option is to buy the same card again (which I dont want to do). This is the first time I bought an off the shelf PC and am regretting it now. I have already upgraded the PSU to a Corsair 750W and would like to have video card upgrade options in the future. I am fine with the GPU for now so what mobo would fit in this case and would be compatible with my GPU, hard drive, blu-ray, dvd burner etc? The link below is the specs for the mobo. Ideally i would like to have a PCIE3 slot for future upgrade options. I really have tried to do my research but i get lost on all the options on sites like newegg.
Thanks for the help.

this fit for intel cpu that are out now.
on amd side there the fm2 systems with there apu. or the x700 with no apu. (bettr price if your going to run a higher end gpu.

Buy and install a new gpu. The only restriction you had was the Case size/gpu length and PSU and you've already replaced the psu...

You Angelica board has a pcie x16 Gen2 slot so just about anything that fits would work.

If you do get a new motherbd, keep in mind that you will also need to purchase an OS. The OEM windows that came with the HP is not transferable to a new motherbd.
