Microsoft Visual Redistributables.

Hello people,

I've got a question about these Microsoft Redistributables. I have 2008 v9.0.30729, but when i installed a game yesterday 2008 v9.0.21022 was added on my PC. Do i really need the older version installed while i have a newer one?

Thanks in advance for any information given.

Games & applications are written using a specific version of Visual Basic or Visual C++, therefore you have to install the redistributable runtime files of that same version to ensure compatibility, otherwise the said game or application may be unable to run.

That's why the installer deliberately does not overwrite any other versions you may have.

So don't uninstall any of them.
