http://pcpartpicker.com/p/L7G2jX is what I am looking to get at the moment.

I'm looking to do some pretty hardcore gaming, so I'm hoping (and pretty confident) that this rig will be able to handle farcry 3, bf4, planetside, all on ultra.

Also looking for a 30+ inch high resolution monitor thats cheap, if you know of any please let me know, thanks.

Throw out the 4770K and go with Haswell-R, you already picked a Z97 board anyway. Haswell-R is about the same price and performs better.

For gaming you'll be fine with an i5-4690K, the difference in most games is negligable.

You'll also want to go with a better quality PSU, especially if you plan on overclocking.

With the money saved you can upgrade the GPU to a R9 290x. I'd recommend waiting a few days for Nvidia's 900-series to come out though, see what those cards have to offer.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($217.25 @ TigerDirect)
Motherboard: MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($146.97 @ SuperBiiz)...
