I recently purchased a new gpu Asus GTX 770 and i've experienced some random fps drops in my games, before the 770, i had a Gigabyte R9 280(Non X) and i also got some fps drops but more severe, i was thinking maybe my psu is going bad since the R9 280 does draw more power, before all of that i had a GTX 560Ti and no random drops at all. I am currently using a 700W OCZ ModXtreme. Both my cpu and gpu are at stable temps.

Current Specs
Asrock 970 Extreme 4
AMD FX 8320
Asus GTX 770
8GB Crucial Ram (2x4 1600Mhz)
Western Digital Blue 1TB 7200RPM 64MB
OCZ 700W ModXtreme

Actually its probably the fact that the 125w 8320 is not supported on that board because the VRMS can't handle it. The CPU is probably throttling. Try checking your cpu frequency when it's under load. With a higher end gpu the cpu has to work harder to keep up which would explain why it doesn't happen with the 560Ti.
