Hi,

I have no opportunity to use wired internet connection. So I have modem on the smokestack and it receives wireless signal. The modem is connected by wire to router. The router currently supports my laptop (wi-fi) and desktop (internal pci wifi card). I want to ask if I can plug the cable to the desktop´s integrated network card which do not have wireless capability and connect it with a router.

I want to buy a new PC with Intel integrated card so I want to know if the wired connection is possible for me even though my modem recieves only wireless signal. Because if it is not possible there is no reason to spend the extra money for better onboard NIC.

My second question is if it is possible to buy another router, configure it as access point and connect it by wire with desktop´s onboard no-wifi card. The access point will receive wifi signal by my original router.
