I have D-Link DIR-615 router, when at home I connect from current router to this router and the green "internet" LED lights up and it works using factory reset settings (DCHP auto I believe). (comcast/xfinity at home)

When I take to to work and do the same on century link router (Connect using ethernet from century link modem/router to the dlink router) the "internet" LED never lights up.

Do I need special settings since it's century link?

Pluging a computer into the same ethernet port gives internet but it won't give it to the Dlink router.

Thanks for any help. I can give more info if needed just let me know what u need to know...

There was an option on the new router to "clone your computers mac addresss" I assume this would also fix that problem?

Do you know if I need to clone the mac address of the already installed router/modem or the computer that is connected to it and any info on how to do that would also be helpful.

I think maybe I need to connect to the new router via wifi (it's already connected to the ORIGINAL working router/modem via ethernet) and set up the NEW router cloning the mac address that way? (So it' gets the mac address from the old router, but is connected via wifi to the new one allowing the cloning to happen properly?)
