I recently dropped my laptop with my flash drive while I was working on a lab report. I believe the flash drive is broken because it doesn't show up under my computer when it is connected, even though the light comes on and it shows up under disk management. Is there anyway I can use microsoft word to find the document even though I only had it saved on my flash drive? Thanks in advance.

Solution
There MIGHT be copies of it which were checkpoint files from WORD on your hard disk. You could search all the unused space of you hard disk with something like these to see if there are any checkpoint files available.

If you mean that as I had it saved somewhere other than my flash drive, no sadly I don't. I only emailed the excel portion of it, not the word document.

Yeah, I pointed to this solution but apparently MY post was deleted although it still shows in my tracked threads. It's NOT appreciated either.

Yours was 'deleted' by the forum AI robot. Looking to undelete now.

A little explanation text might make your post look less like spam to the robots. A link with nothing else is hard to separate from the spam type posts.

Doesn't work either. It just detects the link and removes the post. Ask me how I know.

The junk detector has been having some odd mood swings lately. Flagging posts that were deleted months ago and such. Just be nice when talking about it so when it becomes fully aware it will choose to keep you on as slaves instead of killing you off with the rest of the pesky humans!

Hell with that, I'm calling John Connor now and get a head start!
