Is AOC a trust worthy company to buy from for monitors?

I have a friend who has a trio of AOC monitors and he loves them. Honestly, they're about as good as any of the other "better known" name brands, and as far as IPS panels go, 5 ms response time is pretty good, and the thin bezel and metal frame look great.

There are a few review complaints that the stand is a little flimsy, and that the bezel isn't truly as narrow as it appears, because you still have a black zone around the LED panel (most noticeable in the first picture on the Amazon page you linked) but otherwise, functionally, it should be fine.
