Okay so I have all the parts and connectors hooked up. I hit the power button and one fan twitches and the rest do not move. I unhooked the rest of the fans and tried booting that way and still it just twitches and then nothing. Any ideas on what is going on?

Okay so I have been following the steps. I have just the main powersupply cable plugged in and it powers the cpu heatsink fan and the power supply kicks on and they run fine.No beeps. As soon as i hook up my 4+4 pin connectors i get fast beeps. I believe this indicates a power failure. Any ideas?

Now, some people might point to the PSU being a bad PSU based on this and causing your problems - http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-su...

And you say you get fast beeps, are they fast SHORT beeps or fast LONG beeps.

If it really is short beeps (indicating power failure) the only thing I can think of is to either exchange the PSU or return the PSU and buy one that's higher on the list I posted.

Thanks I was thinking that was a possibility. It has been kept away for 3 years with out being used in the box

It is short fast beeps over and over and over with a eventual pause and then back to the same beeps

Replace the PSU with something made by Seasonic or XFX.
