If your CPU budget can be raised to $330 then get the intel core i7 4790K the best of the best for that price.

I thought the i5 didn't have Hyperthreading?

If your gaming, go with that i5.

If your video editing, streaming, graphic designing, etc. or just want something that will help with multithreaded tasks, go with the i7. Honestly, if you have the money, get the i7.

Also, the i7 4790k (on newegg and amazon) is technically 339.99 :p

Yeah, use the strethed budget and get an i7 4790k for $300. No sense in getting a $200 high end motherboard for a non high end cpu.

Eh the i5 4690k can be considered high end. i7 is just higher :p

If you need the money, get the i5. If you can afford to spend it, get the i7. Thats really the only decision you have to make :p

Well i7 isn't going to help you much with gaming versus the i5. It will, however, help you with highly CPU intensive tasks (like video editing or graphic design). Thus, if you have no need for the latter, then get the i5 and save up for a better CPU in the future :)

What kind of games are you going to be playing anyway?

I wish to play Arma fucking 3 or Arma II, my old AMD setup fried.. I'd like to host matches as well without my hardware lagging others.

Sorry i couldn't find Arma fucking 3, but I did find Arma 3. Is that what you meant? Stupid word prediction software saving every word you use often and spitting it out at very random times... It seems to have multithreading to a degree so you may see better performance with the i7.
