Okay, so this one is a doozy.

I've recently started experiencing random freezes after boot. The fault started happening after I moved to a different country and the computer was shipped over. This happens only when booting into normal mode, not into safe mode with networking (or without). I have tried reformatting into windows 7 and 8.1. This did not help. It would sometimes freeze during installation. I have reset my BIOS, and I have run extensive CPU and GPU burn tests, as well as memory tests.

Freezes always happen within a minute of booting, if it does not freeze then; it will work perfectly for hours on end. I have installed a new SSD and graphics card (the specs I will state below), this didn't help either.

One time during boot, it got stuck on the welcome screen and drew a bunch of square artifacts evenly across the screen. This was before I changed the graphics card.

mobo: MSI z87-g45 gaming
CPU: intel i7-4770K
GPU: MSI GTX 750 ti
PSU: Antec 750W
RAM: 8GB 1600MHz

Any ideas?

if its working in safe mode then its a third party software which is causing the freeze uninstall the GPU drivers and reinstall them run a virus scan and a malware scan also if you have steam software installed remove it and reinstall it use ccleaner to clean up the registry and fix the errors .http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

It shouldn't be a software issue as the computer is freshly formatted. It has only the default generic drivers from the windows 8.1 installation. It is still freezing. I'm now attempting to flash my bios.
