Okay guys so here is my question. I am thinking about buying an Xbox One. I already got a 360. For the 360 sound I use one of these: pic1
I connect the two sound cables to a converter that makes turns them into a mini jack. I connect these to my mini jack to jack converter and put it into my mic/line/hi-z port on my Steinberg CI2 soundcard: pic2. It works well, and I get good sound out of my speakers.

My question is if I can use a optic cable from the s/pdif port with a cable like this pic3 and put it into my mini jack to jack and then put it in my mic/line/hi-z port, will I get sound on the Xbox One like I do on my 360 ?

Thanks for your time

No. That cable doesn't convert the audio from digital to analog, it's a cable with a 3.5mm end but not compatible with an analog signal.
