Checking my laptop model for possible upgrades my processor is Intel® Core™ i3-330M Processor
it shows me a 4GB DDR3 PC3-12800 as a featured upgrade wich is a 1600 MHZ Ram
checking my processor supported DDR3 Ram type I found it supports DDR3-800/1066
Are Crucial giving me a faulty suggestion or will my processor work with this 1600 MHZ Ram although intel tells me that it supports 800 and 1066 ?

I would base it off of the manual of your laptop or any other info that is given about your laptop.. truthfully, I myself don't consider Crucial a reputable brand to begin with. Go with what your laptop is specified to take, not what Crucial suggests on their site when you put your MOBO and CPU type.
Just my opinion!

Of course it will work with 1600 MHz ram. The reason that the spec sheet doesn't show that is because that speed ram was not available at the release date of that specific cpu. The ram if you installed it probably would run at 1066.

I have tried 2 different 4 GB kingston at 1333 and both didn't work. they managed to get the bios on but when starting the system (both windows and ubuntu) and the system fails to load it keep restarting .
if the 1333 didn't work I don't think the 1600 will does

Best solution
1600MHz memory will downclock to 1066 or even 800Mhz if that is what the maximum your system supports. i have 1600MHz memory in a Macbooc Pro that is running at 1066MHz because that's what the CPU supports. if it doesn't work, then there is something else at play. you might need a BIOS update. or maybe the memory is bad.
Just my opinion!
What?!?!?! Where are you getting this info from? Crucial is a division of Micron, the 4th largest Semiconductor manufacturer in the world (behind Intel, samsung and qualcomm). Companies like G.Skill, Corsair, Kingston, Mushkin, just to name a few, source their memory modules from Micron! That's right. all those guys I just mentioned do NOT make their own memory chips, they buy them from those who do.
Micron is by far the best memory manufacturer on the planet.
