Hello,
This is a bit of a strange question, but... i might as well ask. I am building a gaming pc. Right now, i have 750 dollars (enough to build the mini itx pc). Here is where i run into my problem. I do have a monitor and keyboard, but they are an old 1650x900 dell monitor and a PS/2 keyboard. Now, if I don't buy the graphics card (r9 280) , I could buy a 1920x1080 asus monitor, and a green backlit gaming keyboard. Should I get the r9 280 and stick with a lousy monitor and ps/2 keyboard, or should I get the monitor + keyboard, but use integrated graphics for a few months?

Get the 280 and upgrade the monitor when you can. The 280 is way more important here than the monitor and keyboard, especially the keyboard. So yeah get the 280 and upgrade the less important parts when you can

Definitely go the R9 280 first.
How good is a 1080p monitor if you can't play games at 1080p?

hey,
I had the same dilema on my first build :D .
I would definitley get the gpu then monitor.
no gpu, no graphics or smooth framerates.
a monitor is the thing you should get next to see the full potential of your card.
I want a razer keyboard too but trust me, you will soon find out that you would much rather get a gpu or monitor first :)
