I'm looking to build my first EVER gaming PC, and since I am a noob at this, I thought asking you guys would be a better option.
I'm looking to build a PC, no more than £420, that can play most games on medium settings. I doubt I'll be playing the more demanding games like BF4, Arma and such, but more of games like G-Mod, Portal, Sims, just more of the humour side of gaming. I will be recording and video editing. Visuals aren't that important to me, just as long as it works well.
Any ideas?

Wouldn't the GPU be a bit overpowering for the CPU?

It definitely would but it wouldn't overclock it too much.
