Hey guys,

After a year of not using my PC I bought a new power adapter to get it running again. It was running smooth until I started to play Sim City & Company of Heroes 2. At first I played COH2 without problems but then I went to Sim City and put things on high settings, which worked for a while then it started crashing into a dark screen with white/grey lines and I could still hear the audio. So i tried playing COH2 on low settings and now it crashes about 1-4 minutes into the game. Below is what I'm running.

Graphics Video Card ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD5870 1024MB PCI-Express GDDR5 DX11
Ram 8,192MB (8GB) DDR3 1066MHz Dual Channel Memory (2GBx4) - Standard
Processor - Intel® Core™ i7-720QM, 1.60-2.80GHz, (45nm, 6MB L3 cache) - Standard
Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Pre-Installed + Drivers & Utilities Disk

It is an ASUS Gaming laptop I bought a couple years back. Everything else seems to be running fine and when my game crashes the computer isn't hot at all. Thanks for the help.

Is it the proper power adapter, from Asus or is it a generic replacement - if so may not be feeding full power, also check for latest BIOS, drivers etc.......Malware/Virus scans done?

It's looks slightly different but it's the same model number from the original. I haven't updated the BIOS. I will do that next and I have the latest drivers. Malware/Virus scan was done and nothing found since It was basically resotred to factory settings last time I used it. I'll report back when I update BIOS.
