All of my PC components are in my Signature if you are interested. My new I5-4690 CPU is coming in in a few days but i am not getting my MSI R9-280 GPU until next month and i was wondering what game can i play until my GPU comes in that the crappy integrated graphics i have on my CPU can i play at a playable framerate? I have seen people play Battlefield 4, Crysis 3, and other games on medium settings with more than well enough frame rates on Youtube videos but i do not know to believe the videos or not. If i do play games with this CPU using the Integrated Graphics on it will i need a much better CPU cooler than the stock fan? The main question is, what games can i play with the Intel HD Graphics 4600?

People play with high level integrated graphics, and brag about which games they can play with utterly simmed down settings. I've personally seen Skyrim(no mods) played with medium(ish) settings at 1080p with fluid frame rates. This was with a stock i5-3330 iirc.

With first person shooters I've never, aside from youtube seen them played with integrated chips effectively. But I'm sure if you play around with the settings a bit and maybe scale down to 768 resolution you could get a very ugly but fluid frames per second. Especially if it's only temporary you shouldn't mind.

An R9-280 will of course max out most games you can play at 1080p. So enjoy, once it arrives!

google 'system requirements lab' it is a website that will have you download a plugin and will test you machine against most all games out. This way you can see if your machine will be a beast at running it or not.
