Minecraft is a heavily cpu dependant game and the i3 is about the same as the intel core duo. Although that does not answer why your fps is lower.

Is there other programs on your new pc that was not on your old?

It could also be minecraft, some of the updates run better than others. For me 1.8 is very stuttery.

Arma and Minecraft are both very high cpu demanding over gpu. Whereas BO2 is more gpu dependant. Although why you got more before is odd.

Also update all nvidia drivers and AMD drivers, Also what is your cpu/ram/gpu usage while playing those games.

Willing to bet that virus protection is bogging your machine down and causing lower fps. Do you have virus protection? If so what is the virus protection (McAfee, Norton, Bitdefender, etc.)?

arma 2 : cpu = 15-19 / ram = 1 gb / gpu (if that means fps ) = 8-30
minecraft : cpu =7-9 / ram = 5 mb / gpu = (if that means fps ) 10 -200

Why are you using 3? I hope not all at the same time?

Stick with one, I would recommend avast. Anti-virus software can use alot of system resources if not used correctly. Also if you have more than one they'll interfere with each other using even more system resources.

Have more that one anti-virus on a machine does not make your more protected. This will cause major performance issues with your system, and the anti-virus will compete against eachother. Uninstall Avast and install bitdefender 2015 (the one I use), and scan your system. You can get a 30 day trial with Bitdefender clean up your system, and after the 30 days if you do not want to pay for Bitdefender you can go back to avast. Auto configure the graphic settings on the game of choice and see if that helps. Were not concerned with graphic detail right now just figuring out what your system is running games and low fps. Get back to me after you have done these steps and let me know how it goes.

Yes Java can be the reason for low fps on Minecraft as well, though this won't affect Arma. Try updating or reinstalling Java through the offline option on the Java website the 64bit for your system. Just to elaborate a little more on the post quoted. Also go to google and search 'system requirements lab' download the plugin and see how the game rates for your machine. This website might give you some suggestions to help update or fix an issue with the computer drivers/software.

check:
Your video cable is plugged into your 750 ti, not any motherboard outputs.
your bios to see that you have disabled integrated graphics.

well the system says that i've gtx 750ti ... how did i know : 1st i open start menu ..then i type in device manager ... after that ..when i open 'display adapters ' it tells me that i've the 750ti ... btw a expert pluged in the card and the power supply too ....

if at all u are getting display, there is no need to worry about your adapter, any way IGP is not getting used. You do one thing, run ARMA then check your GPU and CPU ussage. If you really think like your resource are not properly used, try a patch for your game. Cz ive heard about similar issues in AC3, when we reach boston, fps will drop down from 60 to 20.
I faced it too, when i was using my NVIDIA GT 520 i was getting 20+ at boston. With my R9 280 I am getting barely 20.

Even if you have a preffy good build, if the application is not using it, its the issue with the appliaction, not with the build.

Both minecraft and arma 2 are pretty poorly optimised anyway, if all your other games run fine I would not sweat it.

So your monitor is connected to the GPU or the onboard slot (if there is a onboard slot)?

If your monitor was connected to the onboard graphics then that would be the point? To help in this community we ask questions in hopes that we can further help you. If your monitor was not connected to the installed GPU in question then yes it would very much affect the fps. So now that we have crossed another step off the list lets move forward.

**Hi, this is not a fix**
Bt did you checked you CPU and GPU usage while playing ARMA?? How much is it showing??

And did you changed anything in NVIDIA control panel?? Any override settings?
Or image quality?
Check that tooo..
Choose the option like 'let 3d application decide', I dont exactly remember the setting.. Bt check those too..

i already typed the cpu and gpu , ur lazy to read the whole thread
arma 2 : cpu = 15-19 / ram = 1 gb / gpu (if that means fps ) = 8-30
and i didnt change anything in nvidia control panel , n its : use the 3d application settings

Come on man, we are trying to help you here, show some respect.
And GPU usage is not FPS.
While playing games you can see CPU useage as 15-19%,
Like that you can also see the Load in the GPU, to see that Arma is using all GPU resource.. You can use GPU-Z or the bundled application you go with you GPU.
Its not like im lazy, you mentions GPU as FPS.. There is no use in giving that. I can see than in the question itself man.. :D

Just installed Minecraft on my setup, and I can tell you categorically that is a laggy game. I needed to halve the game res to get it running without noticeable lag. As others have pointed out, it's based on Java, which isn't noted for it optimization. My advice is to not worry about Minecraft running slow, thats simply how the game is I'm afraid!

Are these screenshots when you're playing a game? On the first one you have 54% usage and it seems by the core clock graph you quit the game and it came down. can you post it again but set all of them to MAX so we can see what it was like under load.

Also allocate extra ram and increase cache or let a program like Razer Cortex or Game Booster do it for you. Make sure you haven't capped or underclocked your gpu or cpu. Use Overclocking software to check

Looks fine gpu wise if you were playing minecraft on it, Also minecraft for me is very un-stable so I would not count that. The update even for me made it quite laggy. So ignore Minecraft.

Arma 2 is very un-optimised, Bo2 you should get quite good fps.

Sorry Ill be back later.

update:
In say like BO2, Play a game and look after the game if your gpu usage was at 100% usage. With a 750ti You should get about 80fps. I own an AMD 7850 which is slightly better but your gpu should keep up.

If the usage is less than 100% either you have vsync on (turn it off) or your cpu is bottlenecking. The cpu shouldn't bottleneck though in most games, it should bottleneck in games like Skyrim and BF3, But BO2 should not have a high cpu load.

http://unigine.com/products/heaven/
Okay here, I want you to download the benchmark and when you get in press f9, when it finishes the bench it will will give you are score, minimum fps and maximum and average.
Post your results here: btw make sure these settings.
API: DX11
QUALITY: ULTRA
TESS:NORMAL
AA:X4
RES:1920X1080 (or whatever you have, if it's different post the resolution)

Run it and post it here, I have overclocked my gpu but on stock clocks I got:
SCORE:699
FPS:27.7
MIN:7.1
MAX:52.9

Yours should be lower but close, if it looks fine then that means it is not the gpu.
It could also be driver problems and other problems.

Gpu seems fine to me, a problem which someone else had is could be the actual motherboard, perhaps the motherboard is overheating.

You can use hwmonitor to see that,
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
Just check out everything, if you cannot see anything. Without the actual pc being here we cannot do anything about it.
Take it to a pc store and let them have a look at it.

Take it to a pc store and let them have a look at it.

-good luck

well bud, its all good but its still slow ill choose u as the best answer cuz u helped me alot .. keep up the good job :D

What motherboard is it? So far most people who have these problems, it may be a small part of the motherboard over heating and causing the whole system to slow down, usually that or driver problems. faulty hardware, or other software issues.

Hope you get it fixed, take it in to the nearest pc store and let them check it out. Hopefully they're good ;)
