I recently purchased a computer off someone for $100 in hope to clean it up and sell it for more. Took apart the computer and put it back together successfully (so I could clean it). Only problem is that I can't get past the Windows 7 password. I've heard you can reset the Windows 7 password from the BIOS. Where in the BIOS would I find that option, if it exists?

Why did you report me? I had no idea you couldn't ask how to reset a password! Look at the other threads posted recently and you'll know I care very much about technology and in no way whatsoever did I mean to 'troll.' Know someone's story before you report!

1. We cannot assist with password circumvention. Period. Strictly against Forum rules.

2. For any used PC, you first move should be to completely wipe the drive and reinstall the OS. You have no idea where that OS came from, or what else is in that install.
And tell whomever you sell it to to do the same. Wipe and reinstall.

Closing this.
