Now i have not got an exact answer from searching around But here is my issue.

My motherboard is a Z87-HD3, It has crossfire ability's but no sli. Runs Nvidia cards fine as a motherboard should. But can i run a gtx 760 (which is the card i have now) with my new 780 ti simultaneously IE one for gaming and another for other applications to take strain off either one of my gpu's. Now i know its not needed with a 780 ti. and that ill have more power than ill ever need. But im just curious.

Yes you can. But I have to say a 760 for background apps is overkill but that is your choice and you don't have any other use of the card anyway, right? They will also work as an extended desktop. I think I already answered yes in my previous post but I think you read all my nonsense about what SLI is.

Actually It won't make sense since a graphics card processes only the information that you see. As long as games run fullscreen, the background apps will be in the VRAM which is plenty in the 780 ti. (a game will not use more than 2gb of VRAM even at highest.) so you will run things fine with one monitor gaming. but for dual monitor, It will make more sense. Yes. you can run more than two cards. SLI will only make two of the same cards work together to render games on multiple monitors. So no HD multiple gaming for you. Unless, of course, SLI.

No no no, i know i cant use it for gaming purposes. But can i use my 760 for lets say another monitor working seamless with the 780 ti. Not for gaming just being able to go monitor to monitor. i am not planning on doing it i just wanted to be aware of the possibilities. even though my motherboard isn't sli capable is it possible to run both on there own couple monitors. And thanks again.
