Hmm i think you have to change everything and come to 2014 xD

Keep your Hard Drive and try to buy a entry-level new pc.
If you can affort more money we can make some changes.
If you cant, we can make some changes too xD
For example you dont have to buy graphic card or case right now.

I've been dreaming to come to 2014 for a while, which is why i came here in the first place.
Say, if i do purchase thoses parts, what kind of improvement can i see over my current build?
This might be some sort of coincidence as i have about 300$ saved up for a new computer.
How long would that new computer last me, also will it run current games on medium/high without lag?

No dude u hardly gonna play at low-medium latest titles like BF4/Crysis 3

But the good think is that you can upgrade this pc.
You can add 8GB in the future
Better CPU like I7-4770k and better card.

If you have 300$ you can change the R7 250 with a R7 250x. nothing more maybe :)

What if i wanted to put more than 300$? Perharps 350$, 400$? What would you change?
Also i would like to stay with Geforce Cards if possible. My friend mentionned something about a 740 or 750 probably costing the same as that Radeon card but being more powerfull.
I need to specify that i was planning to give my current computer to my sister and use the new one for myself. So i do have to get all the parts, hard drive, case, etc.

What are your thoughts on that?
Think you could send me another link from PCpartpicker for a 400$ build with what i mentioned?

And one last thing, think you could make me a small list of parts i would need to upgrade in the future along with the specific parts so i can order them too?

I know i'm being pretty selfish by asking a lot but i'm sure you can understand that if i have to spend 400$ or more on a new computer i want it to be worth it.

Ok look.

1)With H97 motherboard you can upgrade in the future any 4th Generation and 5th Intel CPU. Even an I7-4790k and the I7-5790k* (*This is maybe the next model)
2)I add you 8GB Ram so you dont have to change anything in the future maybe. 8GB is good enough for anything right now.
4)GTX 750ti is a pretty good entry-level GPU and you can play any new title out there decent.

5)The last think is that CPU is unlock so you can do overclock to her. But if you wanna do this you must change the motherboard with a Z97 version, will cost you around +15/20$.

Thanks a lot for your help.
I forgot to mention i live in Canada so i have to use Newegg.ca to order.
Which bring the total way higher than expected.
The case itself cost 59,99$ instead of 24,99$.
had to look at the Z97 instead of the H97 since they were out of H97.
Also, which 500GB hard drive should i get exactly for this build?

Guess i'm gonna have to save up some more before i can get my hands on this baby.
Reguarless, Thanks again for your help.

Ok canadian money.

All you have to do is to use your own HDD 150GB for now to save some money.
And when you can buy a 1TB for 50$ ( 500GB doesnt worth because cost around the same with the 1TB )
Add another 4GB ram ( The same ofc )
And you will be fine.
An upgrade will cost you around 100 more bucks in the future. 4GB ram + 1TB HDD.

Hello i'm back. I'm not fully satisfied with the last build.
Here's why.

First of all it would make it easier on me if i could order all the parts from the same place. Let's say Newegg.Ca

Second, the graphic card isn't Nvidia, which i really do insist on having.

Third, i do not really trust in mail rebate stuff. Can we act like thoses do not exist? (Even if they do end up working i can just use the extra money to upgrade later on)

Can you or anyone else give me a proper build around 400$ give or take that is upgrade able in the future?

Thanks in advance.

You can save some money and dont buy the 1TB HDD now as we said before.

Upgrade will cost you around 110 more bucks later.
60$ 1TB HDD http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148840&AID=10657534&PID=3938566&SID=&nm_mc=AFC-C8JunctionCA&cm_mmc=AFC-C8JunctionCA-_-na-_-na-_-na
49$ One more 4GB Ram.
Also you can add a another 4th intel gen CPU later like I3 or I5.

Hello, i'm back again. I wanted to see if you could re-do another build but increasing the maximum budget to 550$. I've done some calcs and earned some side cash.

Just to recap.
-It must all come from Newegg.ca , which mean Canadian money.
-It must have a Nvidia based graphic card.
-Please ignore the in-mail rebate. I don't trust thoses to work.
-500 GB hard drive in the future is more than enough. I use currently a 150Gb and i never really manage to let it fill up.
-Last thing has to include shipping, which can be a bit costly.

Again sorry for being such a bother. Also thank you for your help. First time ordering online and computer shops near me tend to rip off people a lot with their prices.

If you have 550$ then add another 4GB ram and 1TB HDD and you will be ok.
500GB HDD is not worth because it cost only 5$ less from 1TB :/

Here is what you can take.
I just add you a 8GB ram/1TB HDD and GTX 750 ti 2GB not the GTX 750 1GB before.

Thanks for everything. I ended up buying a new computer from a near by store for cheap. I really love the results.

I will make a new thread so someone can help me get the perfect Graphic card for it.
