I wasn't sure which section this goes in so feel free to move it. Also sorry for double post. Definitely didn't mean to do that.

Basically I ordered something and I want to RMA it. Do I have to pay shipping on an RMA (and do they reimburse it?) or not?

Also, I got it from Newegg... Sorry for not posting that earlier :p

This completely depends on the place you bought the merchandise. Some will ask you to pay shipping and handling others don't. You can always contact the company and check and see if the RMA is going to be taken care of or not.

I have only RMAd one thing and I had to pay shipping. It was a mechanical keyboard from Corsair (the K95). It had dead LEDs so I RMAd it and ended up paying around $30 for shipping, signature confirmation, insurance, etc. They mailed me the replacement for keyboard for free...but within three days had dead LEDs again and requested a full refund. Corsair then gave me a pre-paid UPS shipping label that was not enough to ship the item. They shipped it to me paying for 7 lbs, then only paid 5 lbs worth for me to ship it back. Made UPS put the entire shipping costs on Corsair's account.

I know that is a bit more information, but just giving all aspects of how it worked for me. Hopefully it will work better for you.

Aghh... I guess I'll just try to sell it for about the same I'd get after the "restocking fee" + shipping. It's a Noctua NHD-15

I order here and there, but not enough to justify the premier account. I rarely have to return anything, just happens to be a mistake that I ordered it :p Ah well, it's not that much of a loss I guess. I want to start building custom PCs for those who aren't tech "savvy" (I hate that word), but I don't really know where to start. I'll figure it out I guess. Then, maybe, I'll get a premier account.

That's a really great cooler. Do you mind saying why you don't want it?

If you're thinking of a liquid cooler, then I'd recommend against it. You don't need a better cooler likely and the Noctua would be quieter.

If you sell the Noctua you'd lose money, and any cooler you get with the difference would be noisier. Noctua is dead silent in idle if fan control is setup properly and shouldn't be audible even when gaming depending on your CPU setup.

I've got the NH-D14 which is pretty similar though your fans are a bit bigger and PWM. I've also setup computers with the NH-U12S and NH-U14S.

I kind of don't want it because A. its huge, B. the fans are very off my color scheme (red), and C. noise doesn't really matter as I run a box fan at medium settings almost all day to keep the room cool. and it is loudddddd.

The other cooler I ordered was an H110. However since we're on the topic: How much difference in cooling would I see between the two? Also, since the NHD-15 is nearly silent, how loud is the h110?

Either way, I may just keep it. Im running an EVO on my AMD build and I guess if I dont put that in my gaming build I can put the Noctua in this and run it stock to keep it running for as long as possible (my AMD build used to be my gaming build but I'm retiring it and giving it to my mum since her laptop is a century old. This will be a huge improvement.
