High CPU Usage after clean Win8.1 install on SSD

I just installed Windows 8.1 onto my Dell Inspiron 7737 laptop. Intel i7-4500 processor with 16.0 GB RAM. I put in a Kingston SV300S37A/240G SSD with a a 1TB 2nd drive to store files. I used the drivers from Dell's Support page to complete the install and I've installed all the Windows Updates. It's been running at or near 100% CPU since then. Anyone else experience this and what did you do to fix? Any ideas?

See screenshot of Process Explorer for what I'm seeing: https://i.imgur.com/AhAvaIb.jpg

Hey,
Your Synaptics touchpad is showing about 23% usage for one which seems pretty high.

If it's only been a few hours I'd wait but if it's been more than that I'd start investigating there. May be a DRIVER issue causing a loop in processing.

Actually, after that it shows over 18% as a "hardware interrupt" which means a device is trying to talk to your CPU. That might be the touchpad constantly polling and using up your CPU cycles.

I'd remove any driver related to that and/or install the latest new one if you haven't and see what happens.

I uninstalled the touchpad and I'm still getting 100%CPU. See: http://imgur.com/Nod7XHZ

Also I've tried a Clean Boot, and the Interrupts seemed high then too. See: https://i.imgur.com/reeJWbr.jpg

When I was using this same laptop with same drivers and OS, only difference was a 1TB HDD instead of the SSD I am using now, everything was working fine. I just wanted the speed boost of the SSD, but it's been worse since I've switched to it. Any other ideas?

Legit Windows. It was a reinstall of the existing OS I had on this unit. Only difference is I am using a SSD instead of the HDD I had before. No viruses or anything. It's been like this it's been installed on the SSD two days ago. Might be a driver, but I can't figure out which or why, since it was working fine with an identical setup on a HDD. Same drivers...

I have the most recent BIOS from Dell and the Intel Chipset was installed using the drivers from Dell. Just to be safe I also went on Intel's Download Center to see if the chipset driver from Dell was out of date. It is not.

I've checked the firmware on the SSD and it's the most recent from Kingston. I guess my only option now is to try Dell Support (ugh!). Thanks for your help.
