I tried booting up using memory that is on recommended list. AX 860 watts Corsair, 8GB memory on dual channel. Everything else on default. When I boot up nothing comes on screen. I flush the CMOS as well but nothing came up. RMA soon if I cannot get it to work. Worst Mobo I ever had!. I had many and none has this type of problems.

the power serge warning is one where is seeing the power supply not staying within atx spec. or there a large current draw from a fan at start up. with large power supply it can happen if there no real load on it. if you have uopdated the bios of the mb and it boots now with both ram and the gpu and has that error. boot into the bios and under environment screen look at the power supply 12/3.3/5v outputs see if there close to the right reading. if there under or over see if the place you got the unit can load test the unit see if the mb readings are right if they cant and the unit under 30 days swap it out. for the fans just unplug one of them at a time if the error stops then it a fan issue and the last fan unplugged is the bad fan.

Thanks. Now it starts up but it. I set it up to the XMP profile and change a few settings but it now says.. power surge and press F1 to setup again. I havbe been doing it for several times but still no go. I managed to setup windows 7 ultimate but now having issues. Is there a bios settings I can use with the i7-4790k?
