I can't tell if my motherboard is dead or my graphics card. I have a Radeon r9 270x hawk, and an Asus m5a99fx pro r2.0 and FX 8320 eight core and,windows8.1.ok here's what's happening I turn on my computer and everything starts up I get the logo screens and everything but after the windows logo goes away the screen stays blank I've checked the power supply, refreshed windows,re seeded the ram, even reinstall windows, witch seems to work until I install the graphics card drivers and then it goes blank again.could this be because my graphics card is dead or dieing, or my motherboard is dead or dieing, I can still go into bios and and do things, but like I said it just won't show anything, thanks

It could be the GPU or PSU, what PSU do you have? Can you post the model?

If the PSU is this http://raidmax.com/psu/rx_530ss.html It maybe the PSU can't power the r9-270x.

And you can try other GPU or other PSU if you have one or borrow from your friend, if other PSU works fine, and you are better to return the rx-530ss, and get other new one. If other GPU works fine, and it maybe the GPU or the PSU can't power up the r9-270x.

If you don't have other GPU or PSU to test, return the rx-530ss, get the new one to try. And make sure check the "PSU tier list" http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-su...

Yeah that's my psu, but it worked for about 3-4 months and then playing battlefield it just went blank out of no where, but I'll try a different psu.
