The newer i5-4690K should be the same price or cheaper than the last generation 4670K and would "match" your Z97 mobo choice.
There should also be "better" versions of the graphics card for the same price. EVGA 02G-P4-3765-KR, perhaps.
Depends on where you are shopping, in which country, though.

Also, 2x4GB Dual channel memory should be faster than a single 8GB stick.

Edit: Also, I see no mention of a power supply so this is just a reminder not to cheap out on it, it is the heart of your system and a weak heart threatens the mind (Motherboard)

I'll most likely do some upgrading in the future most likely starting with the graphics and go dual channel. The reason I got the single 8gb stick is because as I upgrade on ram, I'll do a 8 gig stick of the same at a time till I max at 32gb

Personally, I'd say that once you hit the $1000 mark for a budget then it's worth an SSD as a boot drive. I couldn't tell you the difference from booting from an HDD, but my startup is damn near close to instant (or feels that way, I haven't actually timed it).

The main thing that got me started building was just a damn game lol, thats CPU hungry. And thats Arma3. Originally i was gonna trick out this Dell Inspiron 570, but I figured it would be a waste of money for something that there was no way to get what I needed to run the game so I decide to build from scratch...

I spent about $1500 on my system (not including monitors), and went through the same process I did as getting a tattoo, checked out retailers and reviews, made sure I knew what I was getting for my money, took my time on my decision and have no regrets with what I ended up with.
