Hi guys I'm thinking about buying a new GPU and RAM but my budget is not the greatest so I have to ask you something.

First of all here are my specs:
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 3.00 GHz
2GB RAM
GPU: ATI Radeon 4600 HD

Should I get the GeForce GTX 750 (non ti) and 1 GB of RAM or should I get GeForce GT 640 and 2 GB of RAM.

I'm mostly into gaming. I would love you to no end if you could help me.

More about : ram gpu

A GT 640 with 2GB Memory as your CPU will bottleneck the 750 w/o OCing. Also, 3GB will not allow great multitasking experience, so 4GB memory with a fine GPU and CPU is what I'd look for, a balanced system :)

What do you mean it would "bottleneck" the 750?

Simply put, your CPU usage (while gaming) will be 100% before GPU usage hits that mark, indicating the GPU is not used to its potential, because the CPU is not powerful enough, it'd be a slight bottlenck though. Can be greater in CPU intensive games like BF3/4.
