I had this problem on a Windows 7 computer. I clicked on "Settings" in Chrome. Scrolled to the bottom, clicked " Show Advanced Settings" at the bottom. Scrolled to “Network”. Clicked on “Change Proxy Settings”. Clicked on “LAN Settings”. Unchecked “Use a Proxy Server…”, then, most important, clicked on “Advanced Settings”. I deleted the 127.0.01 loopback address and the associated port. It was listed twice under “HTTP” and “Secure”. I clicked “OK” If you don’t delete the loopback address and the port number, it won’t work. I also checked “Automatically Detect Settings”. Then clicked “OK”.
