Sounds to me all you really need is maybe SSD. i3 is more than enough for photoshop and MS Office. I would say your system is overkill. An SSD will make you computer seem faster though with the lightning quick response times.

You should be able to get a decent 250GB SSD for around $125 or a decent 500GB for about $250.

Edit: I guess if you really wanted to though you could prob get a 2000 series i5 with the SSD but i don't think the programs you use would utilize the extra cores.

I agree w/ busta r. an ssd boot drive is what would give you the best upgrade for $400. you'd end up having to reinstall your operating system and programs onto the new ssd drive, but yazan you will see the difference. I not saying you'd need this, but you could get 2 more sticks of ddr3 ram as well if you are going to be working in the area when installing the ssd drive. you could get a 250gb ssd and 2 sticks of 4gb ram for under 400 dollars check the pcpartpicker.com website for some options.

thanks and deeply appreciating your advises
the SSD will be the first on my list , but do you think the mother board is ok? upgrading it will not add any enhancement ?
adding 1x8Gb (new) with one 4gb will be a good idea ?
btw , i have a 32gb usb flash drive used for readyboost
