I had a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 HDD of 160 GB installed in my Dell Inspiron 530 PC.
It corrupted last week, making it unbootable showing "Missing Operating System" Error.
I tried to install DOS also, but it showed "C : Dos Area:General Failure".
I had replaced that corrupted hdd with a new Seagate Barracuda 500 GB HDD.
My Question is :-
1)Is it possible to recover data from corrupted HDD ?
2)Does using Windows Repair Disc will erase all data on that corrupted hdd ?
3)How to make that corrupted hdd as a slave drive and how to extract data from it ?
4)As i mentioned,i got a new HDD,installed Win 7 and other important softwares. Adding this corrupted HDD as a slave will require to re-install OS ?

Please Help !! :(

If the data is important, you may want to seek professional recovery. From the questions you're asking it seems clear that you're not a IT guy, and very likely will only make the situation worse by experimenting. Send me a private message with were you're located and I can point you in the direction of a good lab that won't rip you off.
