good upgrade from this CPU

i have a quite old CPU that i am looking to upgrade. my current one is: Intel core i3-2120
My CPU is outdated and i need an upgrade. i use my computer to surf the internet, play non intensive games like minecraft and gmod and to use word and powerpoint.
It is laggy at the minute so what CPU should i upgrade to on a low budget
