Hey guys,

I upgraded my rig a few months ago and its left me with a couple of components that I'm thinking to use to make a new pc for a family member.

I have a GTX 660 and a 550 Corsair 550 VS power supply.

Can anyone recommend me a good build I can do with these two, I don't really want to spend alot on it but I don't want to go for the cheap route either. Any suggestions?

Thanks in Advance,

Imi

EDIT: I might as well say a figure to work around, I say maybe 300-500, Lower would be great.

Sweeeeeet, looks good, I completely forgot about the Hard drive, but a 1TB Should be just fine. Will my 550 VS be okay in that build?

Yes yours will do. Which means you can save quite a lot and get a R9 280X.

And the PSU you have is not suitable for heavy overclocking.

Why cpu cooler when he can't overclock his cpu anyway.. stock cooler is perfectly fine.

I'd go with AMD build

I think that Intel is better in this setup, amd won't deliver a very good performance.

Hey guys, So after some research, I went along and looked on the builds. Im going to go for the build that Maksis has linked, however, I will be purchasing a i5 3330 instead of the i3.

One quick question, When I installed my 212 Evo in my personal computer, I had to move the ram to the furthest side to make sure it can fit. I have seen that the Corsair 200R is quite a small case. Will it be able to fit? Might be a silly question, I do apologise haha.

And Thank you JoeTeoh for the build suggestion too, and everyone else that replied to the thread, really appreciate it :)

Thanks,

Imi
