Okay so i have my motherboard which is a 760GM P23 MSI it came with the pc when i first had it a while back, now i want to upgrade my GPU and CPU, i curently have a R9 R70 And a AMD FX 4100 CPU with 8GB of RAM and a ARTIC PSU yes i know it a ghetto psu lol..

Im looking to get a AMD FX 8350 And a AMD R9 R90X ASUS GPU

i was wondering what psu i would need to run my new upraged set up and is the setup itself okay? thank you for your time!

Solution
If a 750 makes you comfortable then go with that. I'd probably do that. Corsair, and seasonic make good quality psu's. Ive heard that Corsair's CX series might be cheaply made. Do yourself a favor and get a modular or semi-modular psu. I don't have a modular and have way too many cables to route and hide.

I take it this is for gaming?

Probably not going to be the answer you're after but i'd be tempted to just do away with that motherboard entirely and get an intel one. Stick a I5 in there, get a decent corsair bronze rated PSU and get the graphics card you're after. You'll get USB 3.0, you wont have to mess around updating your bios and generally know you have a better board with more features. Might even be able to support faster ram.

Could you please tell me if this would be suitable for my graphics card please?

well that would be the CX series that I mentioned above is cheaply made sometimes. I can't prove this but if it was powering my expensive computer I personally wouldnt discredit the rumors and try a different series. But thats just me.

Your motherboard doesn't support FX 8350. FX 8300 are practically impossible to find, as they are OEM only chips, in select regions. FX 6300 is really the best you can do.

You would get better all around performance, for less, going with this. The R9 290 is not much slower than the 290x, and an i5 would be better than FX 6300.
