The other day my computer (I'm using a laptop.) just shut down on me. I thought it overheated cause it has happened before. But when i turn it on it stays at a black screen for like 5 - 10 minutes then it goes to the loading screen. I don't get a chance to go into the bios or boot in safe mode cause it skips that part. I know it's not a virus cause I have only downloaded games off of steam witch is safe. Please help me.

I am a little confused. Are you having an issue getting into BIOS or an issue with your system crashing after it has been on for a while?
As for getting into your BIOS you either tap the delete key remedially on power or the F9 depending on the manufacture. Also if you would not mind please provide us with the make and model thanks.

I'm a little tired right now so i don't feel like finding out what the make is but its a hp pavilion. Also what i mean is when i press the power button i hear the fan start and everything but its a black screen for like 5 - 10 minutes then it shows the loading screen and its loads up. But it doesnt show the screen with the bios and safe mode screen. also its on windows 8 maybe 8.1
