I've installed a fresh windows 8.1 and then all kind of drivers (gpu, sound, chipset, lan), directX,.net, visual c++ etc..And i seem to have issue with some games.. I've tried NFS The Run, NFS Rivals, Battlefield 3, Driver San Francisco and everytime i try launching one of them nothing happens... The game shows up in Task Manager for a sec and then closes immediately.
I've tried launching them as administrator, in compatibility mode (Win7,XP Service Pack 2,3)..still nothing happens..And my configuration covers all the system requirements for all the games.. But currently i am playing Far Cry 3, Sims 3, Grid Autosport and they start without a problem.. What seems to be the issue ?

p.s : this is my configuration if it helps...
CPU : AMD Athlon II X4 760k 3x3.8ghz
MB : ASUS A55BM-K
GPU : Gigabyte Radeon HD 7770 OC 1 Gb Gddr5
RAM : 2x4 GB Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz

Could be a problem with driver, previously i was having the same kinda problem with Black Flag. Check event viewer after lanching any of those games. If they crashed, they will have an entry in event viewer.
Type "eventvwr.msc" in Run or search for it. In window logs >> Aplications, you can find the logs of these crashing games. Check those. If the faulting module is an nvidia driver file, update that.
