2400 ram 32gb on amd fx8350

I have already got trident x 2400mhz working as 2 x 8gb ie 16gb at 2400mhz on an asus sabertooth 990fx gen 2 but would 32 gb work at that speed?

The motherboard is not doing it, you have to clock it yourself. Check in BIOS to see what it is running at. Two separate kits most likely won't work at that speed, and a CPU/NB Voltage boost is definitely necessary to stabilize full slots at anything higher than DDR3-1866 since technically the CPU memory controller can only support 2 modules.

My memory conrtoller is very hot already on h100i regually hits 50 where as before sat at mid 30s. I am guessing board is clocking it to run ram that fast, will more memory create more heat?
