ASUS Z97-A or Gigabyte GA-Z97X Gaming 3 for the motherboard and XFX Core 650W/Seasonic S12II Bronze 620W/Antec HCG 620M for the PSU.
Also,consider getting an ASUS or Gigabyte GTX 780,I know some people that have had problems with MSI cards.

750W is more than enough for his system,that same PSU but 650W will be just fine.

True, but the price is quite close (if you want modularity anyway). If you want to save a couple bucks you can indeed go with 650w:

I prefer Gigabyte mobos.
ASUS>Gigabyte>ASRock>MSI IMO.

The i7 has no real world advantage over i5 in gaming, so i5 will be a better value for money here

Yeah I agree, only get the i7 if you do rendering/editing etc. Gaming-wise there's little to no difference.
