Is there a way to connect a 3g data card to a wifi router to share its internet over wifi but router doesn't have any usb port. So can usb data card be connected to the RJ-45 port?

Also can the same be possible if router have usb port?

Solution
You need a router with usb port.

You can wire a usb port to an rj45 jack but that does nothing to change the fact that the data is sent on specific wires, uses a diferent format and that 2 pins are for power and ground on usb.

You need a USB port AND you need to verify that the router supports cellular modems. Not all routers that have USB support cellular modems and even the ones that do support cellular modems only support a specific set. ASUS routers have pretty good support. Check that the EXACT model modem you have is supported.

Hard drives for slow file sharing and printers are the most common uses. Read the users guide carefully prior to any purchase.
